v. 09.13.03 (0)
Blog 6.5.6

DNN CKEditor Provider
When using the Rich Text editor (full) there is no Upload tab in Images for a specific user and or role.

-----------------------------------------------------
User account [email protected]
User account has full permissions to "View Browse and Write" to "Images" folder/directory using PB>Site Assets and the Edit function.
User Role "Client Editor" has full permissions on "Images" directory.
CKEditor "File Browser Settings" (Full Editor for designated Role)
Allow Folder Users checked
Allowed roles (user account role "client editor" is checked)
Saved Settings, Recycle App Pool, Cleared Cache, Restart DNN,

Testing with a different browser Clear history, Log on as [email protected]. Full editor shows but can not see "File Upload" tab in CKEditor.

I've looked around in the Blog extension and can not see any permissioins setting. I'm not sure what I am missing.
Thanks

I think this is the forum Michael moved it to, for somewhere else.
We never use the CKEditor upload function, for various reasons, so I don't know why it would not show. But maybe it could be the security permission on the DNN folder for the AppPool.

There is also some documentation.

Dave is right. I moved it to this forum from somewhere else, but as this is obviously more than a month ago I can't say from where (even if I guess it was the "About DNN Community" forum).

Happy DNNing!
Michael

Since you are seeing it here, this is the forum it was moved to, and the topic in its entirety so there is nothing else (additional context) to see other than the first post.

That said, do we need a forums feature to say “topic was originally posted in xx forum”? There is a record of it so that previous URLs (from the original location) still work and get you to the correct forum topic. Not sure it’s a huge priority but I do know there are times where it might make sense.

Another possibility is to use the “split” topic feature and combine with the “quote” feature. Leave the original/initial post in the original forum, lock it against additional replies, and have a link to its new location. In the new location, have the original topic as posted, and any new replies?

Thanks for your replies -
I was searching the DNN Community on how to show the Upload tab in the Link tool for someone who is not an Admin, and I found this topic which looked similar.
I guess I should have figured that this was the forum it was moved to. Thanks for the clarification
