It looks like DNN has an answer to all the people that prefer building websites in Wordpress or other Site builders like Weebly, Squarespace and Duda.
It's called Vanjaro and it's build bij de the developers of Mandeeps: vanjaro.com

Great news and it certainly will close the gap between Wordpress and the Online Sitebuilders.
Now we have the best of both worlds: application framework and easy website builder.
All happy: developers, designers and marketeers

But is it really open source and free? They have been working on Vanjaro for a year...and just dropped it
Is it a product of Mandeeps or is it a community product?
When en where will it be available for download?

Mandeep announced it will be open source. As it is part of the 'Revive DNN', it is in his best interest to have as many people use DNN. So, yes it has been a huge investment. And he is a great example for other vendors to step up. It is a Mandeeps product but it will be open source.
The product will be launched at DNN Summit, 22 Feb. When the download will be available, will be announced during the convention.

Yes. It will be open source and free.

Is it a product of Mandeeps or is it a community product?

It's developed by the same team as Mandeeps.com. It has its own name and thus it's a product of Vanjaro :)
Initial public release will go out on GitHub and at that time we'll welcome community contributions. The project will be actively maintained and improved by Vanjaro Team.

When en where will it be available for download?

Join the mailing list at Vanjaro.com We'll have an "Early Access" download later this month.
