Congrats on posting!

Just wondering what this error message means when attempting to upgrade to version 10.2.1 from 9.13.9:

The error that appears in the log "The Controls collection cannot be modified because the control contains code blocks (i.e. <% ... %>)"

For this website: https://journal.nafo.int

Any suggestions to get this up to version 10 + is welcome. Not sure what this error means.

Well, we can't just know with this little information. Either the theme or a module on the page causes such issue. You need to maybe create a new page with the default theme and then slowly put things on it from the problematic page until it causes the issue to get some clue as to what could cause it.

First thing to look at is the google maps being loaded as http.

http://maps.google.com/ma...api/js?sensor=false'
should be
https://maps.google.com/m...api/js?sensor=false'

But this is not a upgrade issue for DNN10, this was probably not adjusted when the SSL cert was add.

Oh, I see you're not auto redirecting to http... you should, there is an option in DNN to do that.

Looks like your skin is missing
http://journal.nafo.int/P...n-scripts.js?cdv=455
http://journal.nafo.int/P.../pace.min.js?cdv=455

check those exist. It might just be you need to upgrade the skin.

Of course if you have other errors, please post them so we can understand better.

Thanks everyone for your input. Our developer was able to get this website upgraded to 10.2.1, and I have updated the skin, although I'll have to reach out to the vendor for clean-up on the module we are using.
