Congrats on posting!

Not sure if there are any notes or instructions for upgrades from 9.13.08 to the most currrent version which appears to be 10.01.2 as of today.
Should the 10.0.0  upgrade and then 10.0.1 and then 10.0.2 etc be followed or should the upgrade from 9 to 10.01.02 work?

I understand that backup of the site and database is a prudent  part of each upgrade.

Thanks

AFAIK There is no need to have steps in between. You should be able to upgrade to the latest directly.

Yes, backup is highly recommended. In fact, backup and upgrade on test/accept/staging first gives you the most control.

Before upgrading, I always review modules and themes that are installed (open source as well as commercial). Check if they are compatible with the target DNN version. If you have your own custom modules, you probably know best if they are compatible :-)
Uninstall modules that are not used. Just for proper housekeeping.

Cheers & happy upgrading :-)

Our process is
1 - MUST backup before you start
2 - MUST backup before you start
3 - MUST backup before you start

The recommended method is to do each version independently.

It's always best to do a fake run on a restored backup before looking at the production site.

However, this often is not required. We often try an upgrade directly to the latest version, jumping the version. DNN does track the versions and installs the SQL required, so usually this works. In some cases there are issues with third party modules not supporting a DNN version. In these cases we restore the and do a version by version upgrade until we understand why it fails.

With DNN10, we have noticed, a new DNN10.1.1 install does not work with languages. The workaround is to install DNN9, then upgrade to DNN10. Be this still has some issues.

I have not tested v10.1.2 - but I don't think the languages have been fixed yet.

According to the suggested "DNN Platform Suggested Upgrade Path", I would in your case have tested a two step approach.
(as documented in:
https://docs.dnncommunity...rade-path/index.html )

If your current version of DNN Platform is between any of the versions listed, first upgrade to the closest listed version.
In the example listed, if you are starting with version 09.02.00, you should upgrade first to version 09.03.02.
09.01.01 -> 09.03.02
09.03.02 -> 09.13.09
09.13.09 -> 10.01.00

In your case I do assume that after the latest 10.01.02 update I would have tested a two step approach like:
09.13.08 -> 09.13.09
09.13.09 -> 10.01.02
( I assume the The "DNN Platform Suggested Upgrade Path" is "infrequently" updated after DNN platform updates )

Please post any comments, experiences and other suggestions to such a two step approach.

I just sent a PR to update the docs https://github.com/valadas/DNNDocs/pull/3 but I always go to latest basically when I am done with the suggested path.
