Congrats on posting!

Hello,

I’m currently running DNN 10.2.2 and attempting to upgrade to 10.2.3. The #upgrade is needed because we are experiencing the known issue where roles cannot be added and module permissions cannot be set. Based on the release notes, this appears to be addressed in 10.2.3:

Fixed an issue with inability to set module permissions (#6997)

While following the documented post-10.2.0 upgrade steps, I ran into an issue during the directed upgrade process.

According to the documentation, the upgrade package should be uploaded through:

Settings → Servers → System Info → Servers

However, on this page there is no upload button available, and the upgrade table shows “No available uploads.” As a result, I’m unable to upload and install the DNN_Platform_10.2.3_Upgrade.zip package through the UI.

Could you advise on the correct way to proceed with the upgrade in this situation? Is there an additional configuration step required to enable uploads, or should the upgrade be performed through a different method?

For reference, I’m following the documentation here:
https://docs.dnncommunity...st-10.2.0-steps.html

Thank you for your guidance.

I see the same issue here. After I upload the upgrade package, how do you actually run the upgrade?

And what is the "feet" icon? Please don't tell me that's "run the upgrade"? laugh

Yes, you run with feet lol...
We should change that icon though to an UP arrow and add a tooltip. But it is the icon to start the ugprade.
Then you should see a message indicating it is preparing for the ugprade and that may show for some seconds or a minute, don't leave there. After it will redirect you to the upgrade wizard as before.

I don't have the button option to Upload Package. Any idea why? Can I still use the old method to upgrade by copying the folder?

Congrats, your posts are really liked!

This issue is reported. See Issue #7069.

As a quick workaround, if you have access to the hosting server, you can download the DNN_Platform_10**_Upgrade.zip package and simply copy it into this folder [webroot]/App_Data/Upgrade/

Refresh or Clear Cache, return to the PB/Settings, Server, System Info / UPGRADES tab and you should see the upgrade as expected.

If anyone is interested, I added a Dnn.Platform Discussion on GitHub with the intention of moving this feature forward from its initial UI.
