Allowed File Extensions

Hi, I am just attempting to load a bunch of images into the site I am rebuilding since the disaster. I observed that all except 3 image files uploaded with no problem. When I looked further at the three files that would not upload I noted they all had UPPER case file extensions. When I changed one to lower case .jpg the image uploaded correctly. I added the .JPG file extension to the allowed file types but the original file was still rejected. Observations Suggestions   Si...

DNN User Rights

Hello, i want to create a User who has only the rights to manage all content and pages in DNN also create new pages... i want to give the user no other right like change any settings an so on... only manage content and pages and create also new pages.... is this possible in DNN i found no way todo this... i want not make the user to a Admin with to many rights.... Edit Content doesn't load content

DNN upgraded from 9.2.2 to 9.4.4 using DNNConnect.CKE 1.0.7 with no other providers installed on Chrome, Firefox, and Edge (cleaned cache too) portals show a blank Edit Content when editing the content of an area.  You can't click into the text area to do anything either.  If you click the Source button in the top left you can see all the source for what should be there but once you go back to normal view mode it's still blank.  On a test copy of the website I installed the latest DNNConnect.CKE...

Issue After Upgrade rollback

Recently I upgraded from Dnn 9.1.1 to Dnn 9.3.0 . Due to some error we had to rollback to backup taken of website and database earlier. Everything seemed fine except the message 'Could not find Personabar_Getusers stored procedure' showing on clicking Users in persona bar.

User Role changes - send email

When changing a user's roles, in either the Users or Roles form, there's a 'Send email' checkbox which is ticked by default.  I would prefer it unticked! I don't think there's a setting for this, so presumably there's an .ascx somewhere with 'checked=true'.  But I can't find it!  In fact, where is all the code for the Persona bar functionality

How to enable 9.8 Resource Manager?

Just upgraded to DNN 9.8 and am wondering how to switch to the new optional Resource Manager. The Release Notes say: Implemented a new optional file manager called Resource Manager 4152 but do not say how to switch from the old file manager to the new one. Where do I find the instructions

Hi, I use a DNN verified user registration and a custom registration module /myCustomPageWithLogin and this page is a dynamic page like myCustomPageWithLoginID=3132 which at return become myCustomPageWithLogin/ID/3132 but still working In order to verify the users email I have a regular DNN Login module with permission for Unverified Users.  The registration module is sending this link to verify and in the same time I want to return to the dynamic URL https://domain.com/myCust...ageWit...

DNN 4.8.2 from domain.com to old.domain.com

Hello to All, i'd like your help with regards to an issue i'm facing. I'm totally newby to DNN but i need to find a solution. We had a old website with name 'domain.com' under DNN 4.8.2 with IP:10.10.10.1. We've created a new one but we wanted to keep the old website for historical reasons, so we've created a subdomain 'old.domain.com'. We've redirected the 'domain.com' to the new IP on a new host, and we've kept the old IP:10.10.10.1 to point on the historical site 'old.domain.com'. ...

Good Afternoon DNN users! I inherited a DNN site about a year ago, which was using Data Spring's Dynamic Registration Module. Unfortunately, this module is only supported up to DNN v9.2, and so recently when I upgraded to the new DNN v9.6.01 it broke this module.
