Hi Community,

I've a website with DNN version v. 09.13.00 (0); I'm trying to create new users internally using my super user account but I can't I get an error with an "X" mark and no details. I checked the admin logs and I've nothing, no errors.

¿Any ideas on how can I resolve this?

Daniel, I found this in the log folder for file "2024.06.19.log.resources":

And in the browser, do you get a null, a 4xx or 5xx error (you can probably see that in the console or network tab of developer tools.

Do you have any restrictions/customizations in the allowed username/email pattern(s) and/or password settings? You may be hitting a configuration limit that's been implemented. I've found that there are really odd things like this that can happen when that's the case.

This is most likely due to a jQuery conflict (most likely due to an incorrect dependency within a 3rd party theme or module). You could try switching to Xcillion on an empty page (no 3rd party modules on the page) and see if you still get the same error. From there, you can start using a process of elimination to find the culprit.

In the first screenshot in the network tab. You'll see on the right pane a list of tabs, if you select either "Response" or "Preview" tabs, do you see a response that may have some clues about the error. The fact that you are getting a 5xx and not a 4xx response says it is an internal server error, something that was not handled in code to provide a decent error message. I am surprise we don't have more info logged elsewhere but maybe in that tab we have some clues.
