Despite assigning the “Full” toolbar to the desired roles the “Basic” toolbar is still being displayed in the CKEditor.

As I said before, it appears to me this very Forum exhibits this problem because all I see here too is the basic toolbar. Why? Who is the "webmaster"? To make my point I can’t even underline text in this paragraph because the “basic” toolbar lacks the button for it.

The easiest way to add your own Toolbars to a role, for example Registered Users is to edit Dnn.CKToolbarSets.xml which is in the Portal\# folder. You will see the default sets listed and if you copy one of those and rename it (maybe to Blog in your case) and save the XML file the newly added Set will show up in the HTML manager after you restart the Application. You can also edit the items shown in your new Toolbar in that file. Once that is done you can add the new Toolbar to the role you wish.

I would be glad to attempt an upgrade if you could tell me it would fix this problem, but you seem to be ignoring the fact that this web site may have this exact issue.

Good information, but as I have already pointed out adding buttons to the "Basic" toolbar works just fine. So what does "Once that is done you can add the new Toolbar to the role you wish."  ... add it how? usng the UI? that sounds like what I have been doing that is NOT working.

No, I will not tell you if this fixes your problem. I am not your private support person. You can go to GitHub - dnnsoftware/Dnn.Platform: DNN (formerly DotNetNuke) is the leading open source web content management platform (CMS) in the Microsoft ecosystem and read the fixes there. I do not ignore anything, we do not see the Basic Toolbar on this forum as a problem.

You don't really? The user can't even underline text?
