The SMTP settings are in place. The Test Email is going through. There is nothing in the Log file. I don't seem to understand what's going on.

I guess you mean there's no email being sent?
Also, please always add the DNN version when you post a question.

First step I take is to test if DNN sends out the emails.
You can do that by setting up a temporary drop folder https://www.40fingers.net...elopment-environment

If the email ends up in the folder, it's not a DNN issue, but a configuration / spam / SPF etc.. issue.

I think I have seen 2 things that caused emails not being sent inside DNN.
1. An incorrectly SMTP server configured for a portal, while the general SMTP connection was tested.
2. An issue with one of the resource files, I think it was a missing key (if you are not using en-us)
