Work Flow Process For Approval Before Publishing

Hi All,

I have downloaded DotNuke from path https://github.com/dnnsof...nn.Platform/releases  and have installed version 9.11.0 on my local IIS. I want to implement work flow process so that before publishing content pages it should be reviewed and approved. Here are my queries based on this :

  1. Is this content approval process allowed only in specific DNN editions?
  • If yes then which edition?
  • And is that edition free?
  1. I am not sure which edition I have downloaded. Can you please tell me how can I verify on which edition i am working?

Workflow implementation in DNN Platform (which is the free, open-source version) is based on the module - e.g. the Text/Html module has a workflow setting where you can choose from "Direct Publish" and "Content Staging". I never used this, therefore I can't tell you exactly how it works, but maybe this thread can help you.

In Evoq (which is the commercial version of DNN) there is a Content Staging module, but as far as I understand you need a staging server to realize.
