Working with DNN has been a cornerstone of my professional journey for many years. In fact, my journey with DNN began before it was even called DNN. Over this time, one constant has been the thrill of learning something new nearly every day. It’s a testament to the depth and versatility of the platform, as well as the incredible people who make up its community. This constant growth is one of the many reasons why I love DNN and why I am so passionate about its future.

It's been a little while since the last release of the DNN Community Forums module. If you're not already aware, this module is the same forums module we use on this website. So, we continually base the updates needed on our real-world, actual needs. This release brings with it all kinds of updates, and I'll attempt to summarize the most important things below. 

No matter the situation, there is a massively critical element to that situation that is more important than any other... What is that you may ask? In a word, communication. If communication is not a primary focus of a community, all kinds of issues arise. We can laugh them off, or ignore them, but accurate and timely communication is the best way we can effectively build anything involving more than one person.  

The DNN Community Forums module has been chugging along for a while now, and so it's about time for a release. This release brings with it what I estimate to be over 100 hours of work across at least 4 people. Numerous things have been fixed, but we need your help before we can make this release official.

First and foremost, I'm pleased to be able to announce that there is a new version of Active Forums available.  It's been a couple of weeks in the making, or months if you consider some of the details in this blog post.  There were several people in the community that chipped in to make this release possible as well, so I'm extra excited about this release.
