Site fails to run on shared hosting

Started By  Declan Ward
I have built a small site locally and uploaded it to a shared hosting environment. I have a number of other DNN sites with the same hoster. None are DNN 9.x This site is DNN 9.6.1 and I see the error below. I have spoken to the hosting provider and they have looked at it but cannot see what the problem is. Can any of the selective brain trust here give any pointers as to where I can look for a solution There are some entries in web.config that need to be removed for the shared hosting. Cu...

[SOLVED] DNN installation problem due to Turkish_CI_AS collation

Started By  Jackie
Hi Edit solving the problem: Thanks to Timo Breumelhof, I've found out that the issue was related to having a Turkish OS. The Turkish_CI_AS collation was not helping me on DNN installation at all. Trying to install DNN on an English OS resolved the problem smoothly! I am putting this note in case anybody else faces with a similar situation. I'm a new guy just trying to discover and learn more about DNN and I'm trying to make a local DNN site of my own. So far, I've followed all the require...

I updated a site to DNN 9.4.4.  Everything seemed ok until I went to Site Assets.  The File Manager page displays with the wait icon showing.  It continues to show and the page never finishes. Danny

Two Installs - One database

Started By  Deleted User
Hi In cloning portals on Azure, I realise now they have been using the same SQL database/server, and have found some user details are moving between the portals (host details for example)!  Should each DNN install have its own database even on a shared server - is that the best practice Plus the portals are behaving strangely in changing how the user experience looks, its almost like they are very slow in adopting changes made.  More practically, if planning to scale  to tens of tho...

Azure Hosting / Scale Out

Started By  T. Philip Perlman
Good Morning Folks, I have had much success hosting DNN on an Azure Web App for a couple of clients. Some of them have inquired about having the site run on multiple servers to avoid downtime. In Azure terms, I believe this is called scaling out. Does anyone have experience with this, or documentation, on how to do this I believe in the old DNN terms it was called a webfarm but I have no experience with that. Aside from the web app, is the database usually scaled out too so that it can be...

SonarQube Analysis on DNN 9.4.4

Started By  RameshT
I have installed DNN 9.4.4 and working on creating few pages. Our Organization mandates SonarQube Analysis on all applications. When we scanned there are 1500 critical errors on the JS files in the application directory. Wondering if there were any analysis made by DNN and what are the standards that were used to evalaute. Looking forward for any insights. Thank you!
