Hi Community, I've a customer that would like to upload documents for end user to download but he wants to have statistics on each document such as views and amount of downloads. Any ideas? It doesn't matter if it's free or a paid version. I would like to know if there is something similar to this requirement. Regards.

A customer of mine uses the reports module for this.

Personally, I think I would use Google Tag Manager for that.

I've used DMX from bring2mind.net for similar purposes. It's been a few years, but my memory is that it records statistics, provides for an audit trail, etc.

I'd also suggest DNN Documents module (https://github.com/dnncommunity/dnn.documents), maybe combined with an instance of DNN Reports Module (https://github.com/dnncommunity/dnn.reports) listing download numbers (using a custom SQL query, let me know, if you need a sample).
An alternative to documents with simple handling of documents would be Evotiva UserFiles.

Evotiva User Files is a really great module, but it is not for free.

                Happy DNNing!

                  True ... but ...

We should not forget that there are lots of commercially available modules with costs less than a day of developer work.

And, there are free open source modules that are also priceless!

The usual build or buy or look elsewhere considerations apply.
