    Hi all

I just do some testing with the reports modul (Github). In the wiki is described to format the datalists with some html templates. But there ist not described how this file comes (format, filetype). If I want to use a ordinary html-file, this can't be uploaded or stored in the DNN assets/Filesystem, because this type of file "html/htm" are not allowed.

Did I miss some informations? Can you help?

    Kind regards
    Daniel

There is a documentation file included in the GitHib distribution. It's thin, but I did see a section on the HTML Visualizer. I believe that there is a way to create your own visualizers, but that may require a bit of Googling.

And, to be honest, the Reports module is an old one and there is little activity (I think) other than to keep it running with current versions of DNN.

Although I don't know what sort of data you wish to display in reports, you might find that modules like 2sxc and OpenContent offer greater possibilities.

The report module can easily be used with latest version of DNN - like Form&List module.
It is a great option to display results from a SQL query on a page. You may use either HTML or XSL view, to style the list (including list & detail view like in Form and List). However, there is no designer or generator for HTML or XSL visualizers - you need to create the files locally and upload (ideally via FTP/RDP/WebDav, or temporarily (!!!) add the extension to the list of granted extensions in server settings.
HTML is the easiest option, as you just need an HTML snippet with proper tokens in it. For a list of tokens, check out the manual inside the documentation folder (https://github.com/DNNCom...01_User_Manual.docx)

          Thank you for your anwers.

The hint to bypass the DNN-restrictions to allowed filetypes, get me to the result.

          Kind regards
