We are running DNN Release 8.0.4 and have upgraded the Events Module to 7.0.4.  We receive the following error consistently:

Error: CNC Router Project Reservations is currently unavailable. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Specified cast is not valid. ---> System.InvalidCastException: Specified cast is not valid. at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.SelectLocation.get_SelectedLocation() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventList.BindDataGrid(SortFilter sortExpression, SortDirection sortDirection) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventList.BindDataGrid() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventList.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

This could be a mismatch with the ASP.NET version. If that's the case, switch your website to ASP.NET 4.7.

@Joe, Thanks for the info; but I think that I found the issue.  In previous version of the Events module, there was no requirement to input a location into an event.  However, it appears as if this is required for the current version. The database for the previous version inserted a NULL into the Location columns on the Events and the EventsRecurMaster tables.  When I updated these tables to a valid placeholder value...all worked fine.  I am continuing with my testing.
