Folder Provider Permissions - Bug or Not?

Started By  Will Strohl
Hello Everyone:  I wanted to open this up to a general audience.  I'm not sure of whether or not what I'm running into is considered to be a bug, or not.   Without installing anything, you can use the Secure folder type to create a 'secure' folder in which you can assign user/role permission.  This allows you to ensure that only intended people can access the file(s) in the respective folder.   This seems to work well.  Now...   We've installed and attempted to use two different fold...

Utility of the ADSI Authentication Provider in the web config

Started By  Stéphane Tétard
Hi Upgrading an instance from DNN7.4 to DNN9.12, I've noticed that the web config still mentionned the ADSI Authentication Provider with the authentication part. But it seems that the corresponding dll doesn't exist anymore. My question is: does this web config section should be removed or is it in use in the latest versions This setting is also present in a fresh DNN 9.12 install.

Canonical link management in DNN

Started By  David Fenske
Hi DNN fellows -  I'm trying to appease requests from a new client that is used to managing things a certain way in a non-DNN world.  The issue has come up is that the best-practice URL management setting to force all page URLs and HTTP requests to lowercase is messing with the plethora of marketing and tracking codes that they require. I've been adding regex snippets to the 'Keep in Query String Parameter' AUM setting, but sometimes the tracking values include mixed case letters. I've bee...

Role Admin Not loading

Started By  PamR
Hello, we have an older site running on DNN 09.08.00 that I inherited from a previous developer.  Yesterday I went to make a change to the role configuration and discovered that the Manage menu has a link to nav_Roles instead of just Roles, and when you click on it it loads a blank screen.  Similarly, the Settings menu has a link for nav_Connectors rather than Connectors, and that also loads a blank screen.  All other admin menu items seem to be functioning normally.  Has anyone seen this bef...

DNN will not allow https

Started By  Stephen O'Brien
I have installed the SSL certificate correctly.  I have specified force SSL in DNN. I can access a test HTML page on the site with https, but if I try to use https for the site itself, it reverts to http.  Any ideas

Files with the pptx extension are downloaded as .zip from an Azure Storage container.

Started By  Alejandro
Hello everyone, I hope you are well. I'm using the Azure Storage provider, enabled the built-in Azure Storage connector, and then connected to an Azure blog storage location. Once the files are synchronized, when I go to download the files from my DNN site or with the URL provided by the FileManager, the pptx files are downloaded as .zip, if I change the .zip extension to that downloaded file and put pptx it opens good. Here I share some additional observations and results I got during testin...
