Role Admin Not loading

Hello, we have an older site running on DNN 09.08.00 that I inherited from a previous developer.  Yesterday I went to make a change to the role configuration and discovered that the Manage menu has a link to nav_Roles instead of just Roles, and when you click on it it loads a blank screen.  Similarly, the Settings menu has a link for nav_Connectors rather than Connectors, and that also loads a blank screen.  All other admin menu items seem to be functioning normally.

Has anyone seen this before, and does anyone know of a fix or workaround so I can access the role configuration screen?  This is going to be critical for an upcoming integration we're working on.  From what I've seen in my research, the nav_ prefix is related to translation, but I'm not sure why the actual name of the link has changed or where that's coming from.

    Thank you!

You mean the dark blue vertical bar on the left with "Manage menu" right? (the persona bar)

Oh and please make sure you upgrade as soon as possible. There are numerous security updates that have come out since 9.8.0
If you cannot do that yourself or have someone at hand, I would advise you to hire someone to do it for you.

Thank you for the quick response.  Part of the problem with this client is that they're transitioning away from DNN soon, so we don't want to go through an upgrade process for such a short period of time.

However, I solved my issue!  I don't know why I didn't think to inspect the browser console before I panicked, but once I did that I discovered there were two missing folders under \DesktopModules\Admin\Dnn.PersonaBar\Modules for Dnn.Connectors and Dnn.Roles.  Once I copied those over from our dev site and cleared the site cache, the menu names were fixed and those two pages loaded.

It sounds like this site may have been poorly maintained before you got your hands on it.  That's such a shame.  Every tool will look bad and need to be replaced, if the person wielding that tool doesn't know what they're doing.  :(
