Page Load Exceptions

Started By  jeff2
So these errors happen about 50 of the time (only to the custom modules) and its been happening for a few days now out of nowhere, and it makes working on the site extremly difficult. On top of that i have to deal with a very old version of DNN (For some reason i was told updating breaks things which is why we been stuck on version 3 of DNN for so long) I'll take any advice anyone can throw at me, I'm at a loss for where to even begin.  Here are the error logs: AssemblyVersion: 03.02.0...

Audio Recordings

Started By  Mark Buelsing
I'm looking into how to provide a 'record' button on my website that can record a short 3-5 second clip of sound from the client, and store it as an mp3 (or something else..) in the portal file structure. It might help to know people will be recording sounds that their car makes, like tooting the horn or gunning the engine. Would you have an idea for this

Show Admin Logs page to non-logged in uses

Started By  M. Erler
My site is using DNN 9.2.2.  I have several users that need to just see the Admin Log page information so that they can check for exceptions and other information periodically.  They aren't technical and don't have access to the DB.  How can a link be created and displayed to users who aren't logged in that when clicked will take them to the Admin Log page or another page that contains the same information

Mysterious disappearing DLL

Started By  Robert Dickow
Recently I started up a DNN site on my development server and it started having problems displaying the home page. (DNN 9.2.2 with 2 3rd party modules installed). Sporadically it would error out, and eventually show the plain DNN Error page with a back link to the site, which of course just resulted in the same error). I found that the problem related only to the default page, so it must be a module. At first it mainly happened when trying to enter Edit mode for the page, but eventually the erro...

Blog Module: "Latest" posts

Started By  Joe Craig
I haven't quite figured this one out ... I have a Blog page, and I would like to show a few of the recent posts and teaser text on the home page.  When someone clicks the title to read the article, I'd like that to go to the Blog page. I'm using a Blog module on the home page, with the main blog selected as the parent.  But, when I click a title, the blog post is shown on the front page.  Is there a way to alter this behavior Thanks for the help.

DotNetNuke-7 Module

Started By  DiggaStewieJax
Hello, I am using DotNetNuke version 7.0. I develop DNN modules on my local computer with Visual Studio. After building a module, I upload it to the server by logging in as a master user and installing an extension (I take the install-file, but I also tried the source-file). This all works very well.  Unfortunately I can't see my server-side code on the server after uploading and installing a module. The file is not displayed when I open Visual Studio on the server. Everything that is executed a...

Citation plug-ins

Started By  alexismaria
Hi All, Is there anybody out in the community that knows if there are any plug-ins for citation generators or an exporter that uses DNN for their publications We want functionality that a user can click on a button that says, CITE THIS, and the user is presented with an array of formats that they can download. Apparently WordPress has one. I have not seen one for DNN in my search on the internet. It requires some ability to import metadata from an article and have it stored so that when t...
