    Hello

I have installed the Teldrick Identifier module to find all Telrick dependent modules in my DNN 9:08:00(11) instance.

The Announcement Module.dll and this which couldn't be identified libwebp.dll (The module was expected to contain an assembly manifest. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80131018)).

I installed the upgrade Announcement Module 07:02:05 which is not Telerick dependent, which appeared to install okay, but the Module Extension page was still showing the Telrick dependent 7.2.4 and it still showed up in the Telrick Identifier. So I decided to reinstall but it showed an error:

\Website\Install\Temp\blmh25ht\bin\DotNetNuke.Modules.Announcements.dll': See InnerException for details. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process --- End of inner exception stack trace --- at SchwabenCode.QuickIO.Internal.InternalQuickIOCommon.NativeExceptionMapping(String path, Int32 errorCode) at DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.FileSystemUtils.CopyFile(String sourceFileName, String destFileName) at DotNetNuke.Common.Utilities.Internal.RetryableAction.TryIt() at DotNetNuke.Services.Installer.Util.CopyFile(InstallFile installFile, String basePath, Logger log) at DotNetNuke.Services.Installer.Installers.FileInstaller.InstallFile(InstallFile insFile)

    Failure Installation Failed - Assembly

Thus the older module is still in place, I would greatly appreciate any advice on this issue, please.  Thanking you in advance.

it appears that the module upgrade does not handle in-use components well, and may require that the module be removed from all pages.

if feasible, i would remove the module from all pages, uninstall selecting the option to delete all module files, and then install the new module. that may be more pain than you can afford, but i have come across modules which don't uninstall well or upgrade well, and resort to the nuclear option so to speak.

if the module does not uninstall properly, you may want to contact the publisher to ask for manual removal process as the automated uninstall may miss files and tables and table rows which need to be removed. having bits and parts of each version mashed together may lead to bigger problems down the road. my .02usd

If there are files in use, simply shutting down the site in IIS may be enough. Then try restarting it. I always clear the cache and start the App Pool again, just in case.
