I am using the 9.13.01 version of DNN.In the announcement module, I wanted to show only the current announcements instead of all of them.

suggest the changes to access such functionality

The Announcements module is a bit aged... but if you have suggestions for enhancements, you can post them to the GitHub issues page (Issues · DNNCommunity/DNN.Announcements · GitHub).

If you have programming skills feel free to fork it, and add the functionality you need - and then pull request it to the original repo.

You might also sponsor the efforts of those who care about the module with a small amount of money to get the changes implemented.

And as I said, the module is a bit aged, have a look at all purpose module like OpenContent (GitHub - sachatrauwaen/OpenContent: Structured Content editing for DNN (Dotnetnuke)) or 2sxc (2sxc - Dynamic Content and Apps for DNN (formerly DotNetNuke)) - you could do nearly everything with those, and a bit of knowledge in js, css and razor...

Like David said, it should be supported out of the box in the module. You can set an announcement date and decide to only show current ones.
