Hi all,
the translations into the "core" languages (de-DE, fr-FR, it-IT, nl-NL and es-ES) on this page seem to be stuck at version 9.2.0. I know that the translators have been paid by DNN Corp for a while to do this work, but I am not sure if this is still the case (I can imagine that this was finished with the separation from the Platform and the commercial products).
Anyway, it would be great to have them back.
The translation editor included in DNN is awful to use, it looses focus whenever the end of a line is getting closer, and it takes some time to find the currently edited value.
DNN-Connect started a nice try for a translation editor, but I personally think that - even if it is much better than the one included - this is not the optimal tool to edit as well. At least it should have the option to upload a translation pack done with other tools (I use Notepad++ very often, e.g. to find values accross all the resx files in the installation). Also I am confused very often if values have to be HTML encoded or not, and in fact it seems to me sometimes they have to and sometimes not.
So what?
First of all, I would like to know if there is still someone responsible for the core language packs. And which possibilities do we have to provide language packs at the same moment when a new release is available?
Or did I miss something, and there is a new place where the translations are available?
Happy DNNing! Michael
