Is there a way to add a pane to the DDR menu template in DNN? I tryed like this, but the asp controls dont get rendered:

Edit: the editor was messing up the code i wanted to post, so im adding jsfiddle: https://jsfiddle.net/79vtkxbs/

Is there a workaround to place a "dynamic" pane with "menu item id" as name in the ddr menu?

The simple (and maybe complete) answer is no.

If did, though once add a named div in the template. I used javascript to move a div from a module on the page into that div, and hid the module that contained the div. It was unwieldy and we eventually decided it was too much trouble.

Some commercial skins have the ability to add content into mega-menus. Take a look at Mandeeps' Porto skin and others.
