Module Container

My organization is trying to track down a situation that happened.  We use a particluar Module Container under Module >> Page Settings we call "QuickLinks" to display bullet items in an icon fashion. It was discovered that the Module Container setting was changed on all Pages that used it from "QuickLinks" to "<Non Specified>". We don't see how this possible unless someone deliberately went to ever page and changed it, which is not likely. Is it possible somehow to change the Module Container setting globally?

We are not DNN experts and appreciate any and all feedback.

Was there a DNN upgrade or module upgrade/install done recently? If you have not already changed each instance back, it may be worth checking the Module > Settings 'Last Updated By' value in the bottom right.

If the container was uninstalled, the value might have been reverted to 'none specified'. Another possible scenario is that the Quicklinks container and the default container were the same. In that case the 'none specified' was in fact the Qucklinks container. If you then change the default in the theme settings, all modules that have none specified as container will be impacted.

My first instinct is that there were multiple themes installed and in use, but the QuickLinks container was likely in a different theme than the rest of the website was using. My assumption (guess) is that someone uninstalled the theme that included the QuickLinks container because they didn't think the theme was being used. (Technically, it wouldn't have been, but it's container(s) was.)
