How to change top bar color?

I am trying to find out how to change the background color of the top "bar" of my DNN website. It is white and I would like it to be blue, however, I have tried many different solutions such as changing colors in the CSS pages, and it is still white. I am including a picture to help explain what I need. The brown part in the example photo is what is white on my website and I would like it to be blue. Thanks so much in advance.

Welcome to the DNN Community!

This is normally a thing that is in the CSS of the skin/theme. You should check it there. Use the Developer Tools of your browser to find the style class that you need to change.

Let's start with your version of DNN and what you are using for the theme/scheme. I ask because it looks like your image is an image of THIS site, which uses (I think) a custom skin called DNNCommunityTheme. Is that what you are using?

The answer to your question is that you'll need to change a background color in the theme's CSS structure. It looks to me (using browser development tools, that you want to change the background color assigned to the class bg-secondary for the header element. You'll want to make this change where the colors are specified, so you are going to need to do some digging to understand how the theme is built to change the color in the correct place.

Thank you for your response. After reading your response, I realized I wasn't working in the correct CSS file, and so I have now been able to change it. Thanks again!
