I've just upgraded to 9.6 from DNN 08.00.04 (226) , i just have one problem remaining, which is we have a number of old html (*.html) pages which have server side include statement, after updating they are no longer being processed like an asp page would, so the include statements i.e.

      <!--#include virtual="/inc/standard_include.asp"-->  <!--#include virtual="/inc/standard_header.asp"-->

    are not firing and we just get a basic html page.

    Any ideas of what can be done to resolve this

      Nothing in an upgrade should have impacted the binding or enablement of Server Side Includes in your code. Do you have a copy of your old web.config to the new? It might be worth looking to see if there are any changes to handlers/modules that occurred outside of the normal upgrade.

        I did have a copy of the web.config and doesn't look as though anything was previously added/removed.

        I've added a Module Mapping for ServerSideIncludeModule for *.html via Handler Mapping in IIS to correct this.
