    Hello everyone,

We have been working with a client to implement Adobe Analytics into their system to pull their Page Properties and Site categories from their system. So far we just need to add the Adobe script tag on their global pages (as required for Adobe Launch) and pull page template information from their back-end to push into their data layer. As of now we are still requesting access to their environments but the one thing they were able to forward us is the .template and .template.resource files from their site export. We are new to DNN so we are still learning about setting up a local instance to accomplish this. Are those files at minimum provide us to accomplish our task, or do we need a copy of their instance and SQL access?

Below are the information we have gathered so far:
    Product: Evoq Content
    Version: 08.05.00 (296)

    Thanks,
    Frank

usually, you add the script to the theme applied to the site, but this would require access to the theme files.
site export files are not appropriate to modify behaviour of DNN.

        Thanks for your reply,
Based on your response, I'm assuming most of our work needs to be done on the theme files then. Can we also accomplish pulling site category information and page type info from these theme files? If not then do you suggest that we download and install an Evoq local instance? As mentioned, we are still new to DNN so we haven't received SQL, FTP or full site access as of now.

To create a local copy of a DNN site, you will need to have copies of both the database and the file directory. Then you will have access to all of the data and files that you need.

That sounds like a portal export, which is only the tabs and files of the portal.
It will not include the CMS itself.
BTW, it also looks like they are running an older version of Evoq, please try to convince them to upgrade ASAP :-)
