Has anyone had this issue?  It's been over an hour and the upgrade has not moved from this page.

It was pointed out to me that I haven't updated my DNN Reports module and that is most likely the culprit.  Once I restore everything I'll make sure my modules are updated and then try the upgrade again.

Yeah, in general, part of our process over the years has become updating/upgrading all extensions before the upgrade.  In some instances, we even have to upgrade to a specific version of DNN, then upgrade one or more modules, then continue with the upgrade again.

When anything goes wrong, often the best thing to do is incrementally backup along the way, so you can restore to a previous step, instead of starting all over. Before starting over, be sure to pull a copy of the upgrade and standard log files from the ~/Portals/_default/Logs/ folder.  Then restart the process at the desired step.

Also, when you have an upgrade that's not simple, I tend to prefer upgrading using the verbose approach.  This is also how you used to do all upgrades. Instead of viewing the site, seeing the superuser login, and clicking through the upgrade process, you'd simply go to this version of the URL to execute the upgrade and then you can watch it progress through the upgrade process.

Append this to your domain:  /Install/Install.aspx

If your domain is example.com, then it would be:   example.com//Install/Install.aspx

If you'd like more details about the upgrade process, I've given that presentation a handful of times.  Links to the resources are below.

        Good luck!  :)

I can't thank you enough for the detailed information above.  We ended up rolling everything back.  I'm going to go through your presentation above before I attempt this again.  It's the first time in the 9 years I've been using the software that I had an issue upgrading.  I'm confident that I need upgrade an extension and that will fix the issue.  Updating/upgrading all extensions before an  upgrade is now part of my process :)

          Thank you again!
