Although DNN has come a long way with user registration, we still get our fair share of spam registrations as a public website.  Some use throwaway email addresses, others never verify.  DNN9 doesn't really have good bulk user management tools and it's been long enough now that I wanted to do a big nuke on all the unverified accounts (about 9000).

Is the advice from this old article still valid?  Last time I did this was with DNN7, so I'm not sure 9 changed enough that this won't work or may cause issues.  https://www.dnnsoftware.c...ng-rid-of-spam-users

That method will work, but be sure to pay attention to the notes/comments on that post as there are other considerations including the removal of user folders that you will need to consider.

user data structure hasn't changed since DNN 7, however, I always advise to start with a database backup.

Wonderful.  Thank you for the confirmation and I'll take note of the part about folders and of course have a good backup!
