DNN 9.5 does not contain the latest DNN.SecurityAnalyzer

    How come DNN 9.5 does not seem to contain the latest DNN.SecurityAnalyzer?

    Latest version is 8.1.5 but DNN 9.5 seem to contain 8.1.3

     

    (8.1.5 was released december 2018 BTW)

      To make things worse, after installing the latest version of the Security Analyzer we get:

      "CheckDnnVersion : Check if there are known major security vulnerabilities in this version of DNN
      There are multiple major known security vulnerabilities in all versions of DNN Platform prior to DNN 9.x.
      You are running DNN 9.x or later, this module is no longer being maintained and should be uninstalled. You can use the Security Analyzer included in the PersonaBar for security concerns with this version of DNN."

        Apparently the Security Analyzer is obsolete now:

        It instead points to 

        https://github.com/dnnsof.../Dnn.AdminExperience

        Which also seem to be obsolete 

        "

        So questions remains, should we uninstalla Security Analyzer and if so, is there a replacement for it somewher?

          If this is the "old" security analyzer, yes.

          The new Security tab in the Persona Bar is current.

            Yes, we found it now. The problem is that the old Security Analyzer seem to add a page (menu option) to the persona bar which makes it a bit hard to know which is which.
