(Topic has multiple pages1 2 3 4 )
I am very interseted in hearing more about this project. I have been thinking of how I would use .NET CORE and DNN.  I was going to make a mobile app using .NET CORE and have it work with the DNN database using API&39;s.   I would love to hear any discussion on this topic.   Version 3.0 is where I think I will focus on near term as it is the latest upcoming with 2.2. I was thinking that a DNN device app is what I would create and make it using .NET Core.  This way...

5 Replies and 1711 Views Add Feature to Forge     1711 5 Started by Hans Zassenhaus It is very difficult to follow on the upgrades and latest release on Forge items to ensure that our websites are current.   I suggest that the Forge have a sort option added that displays the Forge entries in release date order with the newest release at the head of the list.

4 Replies and 2674 Views Microsoft ILogger Transition Issue     2674 4 Started by Cody https://github.com/dnnsoftware/Dnn.Platform/issues/3161 According to Andrew on "Issues Ready for Development" in Github link above we need to add support for Microsoft.Extensions.Logging and deprecate to remove current log4net Ilog in DNN 9.  They need to co-exist for version 10 to allow removing for version 11. Is anyone currently working on this  Seems like a top priority right now for an upcoming release. Microsoft.Extensions.Logging Microsoft.Extensions.Loggi...

9 Replies and 6645 Views ASP.NET Core Blazor     6645 9 Started by Cody I am reading a new to me article that seems interesting. I know the DNN community is working hard to support with the few talented engineers working hard to take all the steps with care moving DNN into NET Core 2 version first which would immediately need to be upgraded to 3.1 version or later by that time to have C Blazor support. But it feels by the time DNN Next is on deck we will be able to start researching how to utilize Blazor instead of JS for a very enhanced and secure UI.  Wri...

2 Replies and 2048 Views RFC: HTTP/2 Support     2048 2 Started by Cody RFC: HTTP/2 Support on Github issue 2587 We have had a good discussion on utilizing HTTP/2 as Brian Dukes pointed out in this issue above. It sounds very "promising" that we can make adjustments to the platform for version 10. I feel we are a little behind schedule here which is expected and no big deal.  This is one of 3 current issues on Github I believe a focus should be made to get these ready for that next step.  Is there going to be any new thought process tow...

0 Replies and 2698 Views Add Dependency Injection to HTTP Handlers Github Issue 3134     2698 0 Started by Cody Add Dependency Injection to HTTP Handlers Github Issue 3134 There is a huge discussion here about adding Dependency Injection to HTTP Handlers.   Feels like this is one of the next steps to be pushed in version 10. I look forward to hearing more about this topic from discussions at the meetings.  Is there anything holding this back such as concerns other than developing a working solution

2 Replies and 2268 Views DNN Next Future Proof Module Preparations     2268 2 Started by Cody I am looking for any suggestions regarding future proofing any new development efforts to work with DNN Next and .NET Core. This is what I currently understand and please correct me where needed.  I am hoping to help other future module developers with this thread that might be interested in the same thing. Web Forms is going away HTML5 CSS3 and JS (probably most preffered) Razor Pages is an option MVC Modules using SPA (most future proof approach) We can currently devel...
