Adding fields to registration DNN 9.6

Started By  Jeff
I tried to add some required fields for the registration function of one of my sites, and cannot seem to get it to work. it shows that the update cannot be performed, and the field line shows the input is invalid. Even if I leave it blank, it does the same thing.  I'm talking about when a new user registers, the fields it requires to be filled in to allow a new member to register. I'm attaching a screenshot that is two combined to one to show the errors I'm getting. screenshot to show what is ...

Samesite Cookie Changes

Started By  Stuart
In light of the new changes coming this month how are DNN users handling this, and what impacts it may have if nothing is done.   I must add that I have only just skimmed the documentation about it so far,  and from what I can gather is we probably need to add something to our web config configuration section, although I am not exactly what or how that is structured yet,  also will this vary with each version of Asp.Net or even DNN Versions.  Any helpful hints or examples are appreciated. ...

HTML Module and latest Telerik

Started By  Cmis
We use HTML modules on our site. We also purchase Telerik directly with them so that we can use the latest version. When changing the default HTML editor to Telerk we get a versioning error: Could not load file or assembly 'Telerik.Web.UI, Version=2011.1.519.35 Seems that the HTML module may have been built agaonst an older version. Anyway to rectify this We do not specify the version  sin the web config.

Track what pages my users visit

Started By  BartSmith
Hi all I'm looking for a way to track what pages my users visit and when. In older DNN versions I believe we were able to get a Page Stats report but I can't seem to find it under DNN 9 anymore. I also can;t see a table in the database that would store it. What is the best (maybe easiest) way to track what pages my users visit with timestamps

Getting PortalId

Started By  Mohan
Hi, I am trying to get the PortalId from the PortalSettings object. I am calling the GetCurrentPortalSettings() to get the PortalSettings object from which I am getting the PortalId. The problem is in some of our client's sites (only some), the GetCurrentPortalSettings() object is null. It is working in my local development site and in our QA sites but returns null in some our client's sites. Any idea why Thanks in advance.

Hello Everyone, I am running DNN 9.2.2 with 2 child portals since a long time. Both child portals have proper login pages from where I usually login as host and move around in all the portals. Today I tried to add the Account Login module to a page on the main portal but it resulted in a critical error as follows: -------------------------------------------------- Message:Object reference not set to an instance of an object. StackTrace: InnerMessage:Object reference not set to an instan...

Page names and hyphens in URLs

Started By  Joe Craig
I have some pages with names that include spaces and an occasional ampersand (&). I've noticed that some of these have the default URL remove the spaces, and others insert a hyphen. Can I specify, somehow, the use of a hyphen rather than the the space and the ampersand, and no multiple hyphens

Hi, I upgrade from version 8 to 9.2 . I had successfully completed the upgrade, however I have noticed that emails were not being sent from the platform. Upon investigation, it has not been possible for the platform to retrieve the SMTP server information. From Settings>Servers.>Server Settings, we get an error message flashing up, 'Error loading SMTP server tab'. There is also a  red banner accros the top of this page saying 'There was an error retrieving your content. Please check your i...
