I have a DNN website in Swiss website I installed the German language pack and made it the site default and changed the Query Analyzer for Search to use Lucene DE.

When searching searches initially work for German words but after a while it would stop working altogether – I then would have to clear the Cache of the website and restart the application (Settings -> Servers -> Clear Cache / Application Restart). It then happened again after a while. I then went into Scheduler and turned off the Search crawler task and so far Search seems to continue to work but I don’t think it’s a good idea it is turned off in the long term? Especially as new content is added?

If you think this is more of a database/server thing, I can quite happily look further but didn’t know if this was something that needs correcting in the website itself?

Sometimes it helps to delete the lucense files on the server and re-index.
(you mostly need to stop the site for that though)
