This change done in version 9.11.1 introduced the issue:

      https://github.com/dnnsof...form/pull/5416/files

Basically, the drag and drop into CKEditor needed the JSON but the upload dialogs still needed the javascript that was removed to function correctly.

The changes I made were to: DNN Platform/Providers/HtmlEditorProviders/DNNConnect.CKE/Browser/Browser.aspx.cs

The FileUpload and ImageUpload command are used by the two upload dialogs but ImageUpload command is used by the drag and drop as well.  When you drag and drop "&responseType=json" gets added the the request so you can check that to see if that exists to provide the JSON instead of the javascript.

I opened a ticket at: https://github.com/dnnsof...Platform/issues/5645 which as additional information.

Hi! Thanks for creating the issue.

I submitted a PR for it today: https://github.com/dnnsof...n.Platform/pull/5656

Like you said, I used the responseType querystring parameter to determine the kind of response to return.

        Greetz,
        Stefan
