Analytics Host Alert

New Around Here

I intially attempted to set up the Google Anayltics Connector on 9.4.4 installation. The code generated was wrong and showing on the pages, so I deleted the Connector figuring I did not enter the correct data in the Connector. Now there are Host Alerts being generated every few seconds:

    Analytics.AnalyticsConfiguration:GetConfig Failed
    FilePath:[I Removed the Path]\Portals\0\\GoogleAnalytics.config
ExceptionMessage:Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This was documented as an issue in May 2019

    GoogleAnalytics Admin alert  #2826 https://github.com/dnnsof...Platform/issues/2826

I attempted the workaround suggested in the above issue and it did not work.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

UPDATE: I looked at the code and figured out if I go into the GoogleAnalytics.config file and remove the value in the ID field that would allow the file to be skipped because there's no configuration setting. I think removing the GoogleAnalytics.config file after the Connector has been removed and cached clear would work too, but have to try that in my dev lab first. I still cannot figure out yet where the bad file path is being built.  The code has the "\\"+ but if I remember my C# that should be escaping the "\".
