I believe that there are some tutorials at DNNHero.com.

There are several tutorials on YouTube. This is one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8s8nbYiMYc

And, there are some (old) books on DNN and DotNetNuke floating around. I think that they are all out of print, and the latest is DNN 7 (I have a Kindle version). The good news is that the skin/theme structure is little changed over the years so that most of the basics still are good. You may be able find something used at the usual used book places on the internet.

I found a pdf of the DotNetNuke 5 with a Google search. You can probably find it, too.

The Breadcrumb skin object allows you to place a series of breadcrumb links back to a parent page. Kind of a mini navigation.

If you create a page with some children, visiting a child page will show the breadcrumbs. Take a look at https://www.google.com/ur...pLB4Mu04fQ1n7YekJBsr for a nice page with skin object definitions and examples. The Xcillion skin shows one way to use skin objects.

Another great resource on DNN Themes (skins) is the nvQuickTheme. There are also some YouTube videos on in. It's more technical on how to set up a theme project than an exploration of what is behind a theme.

Understanding pages, themes/skins, containers, and the workings of the various CSS (and these days js) files will take you a long way in understanding what you can do with DNN. And that's just a start ...
