So I started up with DNN because I need a website/fileshare on an internal network. I built it out on IIS on a Windows Server 2012R2. Everything is working fine, but when I transfered it to the internal network that is not logically on the internet it no longer works. After that time I loaded up my VM and turned off the Nic and noticed the site was no longer working even when using local 127 IP.

Are there any settings or changes to the configuration that would allow for me to use my DNN site on an internal closed intranet?

Please define "it no longer works"
Not sure exactly what you did, but DNN by can (depending on the settings) load some JS from CDNs.
Could it be that those cannot be reached from inside the intranet?
Did you check the browser console? (F12) for JS errors?

In addition to what Timo said: I have DNN running in the intranet without any problems. The host name should have an A record in the internal DNS, and the clients must have access to the CDNs on the external internet (if necessary), so the firewall rules have to allow this.

Happy DNNing!
