    Hi,

    as Microsoft teaches, I cannot create a WebMethod in ASCX file so I'm trying to create a generic handler ASHX.

    In my ashx.cs code file I put the WebMethod to call via Ajax in other pages but the result is always success, also if the url is wrong!!!

    This means that my page is not really calling the webmethod.

    Example with correct URL:

    $(document).ready(function () {
            $.ajax({
                type: "POST",
                url: "/DesktopModules/KendeilAdmin/DNNHandler/Test.ashx?Type=0",
                contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8",
                success: function (res) {
                    console.log("GOOD");
                },
                error: function (jqXHR, textStatus, errorThrown) {
                    console.log("NOT GOOD");
                }
            })
        });

    Result: "GOOD"

    Example with wrong url:

    [...]

    url: "/DesktopModules/KendeilAdmin/DNNHandler/AAAAABBBB.ashx?Type=0",

    [...]

    Result: "GOOD"

    The ashx.cs code never been called by my ajax function.

    What I've to do to create and consume a webmethod?

      I don't know much about wedmethods with ashx handlers, but I would recommend using a Web API module for this. From what I've seen, the method definition would be similar, and debugging would be easy.
