Localization and Shared Modules Started By Andreas Do we really have to translate shared modules again Maybe I am not understanding the rational behind DNN's localization, but it seems that if I have a page with proper translations and I then share a module having proper translation, the translation needs to be done again on the other pages displaying this module. It seems to be very weired and unintuitive. It was working much better with the good old MLHTML (and the other modules Eric VB wrote). Multilanguage site (9.3.2) not working Started By Marnix (1 2 ) Hi, we're developing a multi language site, so we have an english and a japanese version. However, when we click on a link in the menu of the japanes version, it will still show the english page in some cases, while in other cases it works. Translating the Roles in the personabar Started By Aranka van der Zwaard (1 2 ) After finishing the translations we are seeing that the PersonaBar Roles page title is not translated. We have checked every single translation file in the desktopmodules. translation of items in personabar Started By Smuggler Hi! I am trying to translate some items in the personabar, the items on the left side in the layout. I am using DNN 9.4.1. Items are from top and downwards: Content, Manage and Settings. I did manage to translate the items 'Content' and 'Settings' but not 'Manage'. Page published but not Translated, use case? Started By Timo Breumelhof (40F) We had an issue with a login page (in the second language on the site). It redirected to the default language when you clicked 'Reset Password'. A side effect was also that the login page was not reachable as a host. After some investigation we found out that this page (a ML site with 2 languages) has [ ] Translated [x] Published In the 'Localization Tab' For the second language. Language selector - Text just language not region Started By Tony Stallan Hi, When displaying just text in the language selector is there anyway to display just the language name not the region ie: Show 'English' instead of 'English (US)'. Enabling Localization & Add Missing Lang to Page Fails Started By Andreas Hi, Just wanted to leave an informative post about some problems I was facing, when enabling localization. We were initially on an older DNN version (4) that did not have native localication support. The process to translate all the pages failed at a certain percentage. Then I found out that I could enable localication for some pages that did not get their localization initially. Error when trying to change website language Started By m.kamp When I try to change the website’s default language (under Website Settings > Languages) from de-DE to en-US, I get the error pop-up “Settings could not be saved. Try again later” (or similar; translated from German). I don’t have any localized content on the site, and all users use the website’s default language. My DNN version is 9.1.1. language settings Started By sypa I'm regurlarly trying to to search the language settings to make customisations. e.g. such as to change what text is displayed in the email when users register. It takes me forever to find this stuff because there are so many files to look through! I'm sure i've had a spreadsheet in the past which displayed every piece of text and i could search that file and it told me which file i needed to edit. Trouble finding correct entries in resource file (.resx) to translate Started By Rene I am translating a page from english to slovenian. While I managed to get most translations done either on the module directly or in the .resx files in local/global resources (the correct name value pairs were already there, just waiting to get translated), I can't seem to find everything. For example, the my sign-out button, there is no entry in resource files for it. Another example - copyright info on the bottom of the page.
