    Hi,

We have exported from Evoq Basic 9.6.1 to DNN Platform version 9.9.1

We have exported all pages, content, modules, permission etc. from Evoq Basic to platform version. Everything got exported successfully without any issue or errors. Even I can’t see any error log either in default log file or in admin logs. But not sure why page contents are not displaying in view mode. When I open in edit mode all contents are displaying properly. Even checked the permissions at page level and module level all looks good. Even added back the content editor, content editors and content managers permission over the page but still the content are not displaying.

Can anybody help us in this, if we are missing anything. We have verified  but can't find any Evoq Basic version content/modules imported in platform vesion.

    Thanks

Most likely, you have not gone through the steps that are necessary to perform the downgrade. Take a look at https://www.mikesmeltzer....voq-to-dnn-platform, and follow the links to other information.

If you Google around, you will find some companies that will do this sort of work for you.  You might want to start with Mike.

which modules are you using? Evoq is using a different version of HTML module (Pro) with versioning, which might not get exported in a format suitable for the standard version of HTML module. Another problem could be pages workflow, which is different in Platform than in Evoq, if you used this feature. Third difference might be advanced permission used by Evoq.

Thanks Joe Craig . I have already checked the steps mentioned at the following url https://www.mikesmeltzer....voq-to-dnn-platform. Since the steps and process seems little lengthy and longer process, I tried to export/import existing custom pages, modules, page contents etc. only from evoq basic site version to DNN platform version. Also I referred to the video blogs from Mr. Anderson specified at the above url location. But the following url mentioned at the above site location to download scripts is no longer accessible now "You can download the scripts from the video at: http://Evoq2DNN.com".

As per the steps mentioned in the above url, the following steps need to be checked.

Permissions - Some of the EVOQ versions have granular permissions that are not included within the Platform version. You may want to write a SQL script that can migrate the EVOQ permissions to the Platform permissions so that your users do not lose the ability to do specific tasks. Keep in mind, with the removal of granular permissions your users may now be able to more than they used to be able to.

Note: Since pages content are displayed in edit mode but not in the view module, I think this could be the issue around permissions. I could not find any script for the correction of permission issues if any

Thanks Sebastian . Yes we were using HTML Pro in Evoq Basic version. But in platform version using normal HTML module. I did not encounter any issue while export pages and content from Evoq Basic version. It completed successfully during both export and import process. Even I did not see any issue either in log4net default logs or in event/admin logs. May be it is issue with pages workflow but I could not see any issue around this in logs. Again we can view the page in edit mode not in view mode, Most probably it might be issue with advanced permission used by Evoq. Can you please provide some steps or script to check the permission issue. In UI and DB tables, I can't figure out the differences.

          Thanks & Regards,
