A page on a website was disabled (still in the menu, but no link as it has sub-pages), but the modules on this page were not deleted. Now you can still find content from this page in the Search, but clicking the result ended in a 404 error.

The solution was (of course) to delete all modules from that page. But I wonder if there is a possibility to exclude disabled pages from the search (and anyway, this should be the default...)

    Happy DNNing!

Yeah, SIte settings - Search and a setting there would make sense. Should be a pretty simple, PR, right?

        IMO that's a bug.
A page's that's not enabled should not be found by Searching it

Agree with Timo - just wanted to hear other opinions as well... I can't imagine any, but maybe there is a use case for this behaviour ;-)
