I am trying to give those with the site staff role access to upload in the editor. As when they hit the image button the tab to upload to the server isn't showing up. As admin I see it but they don't. Can't seem to find where in the setting to enable this by role, any direction appreciated thank you.

Well, there's not a ton of information where, specifically, you're trying to allow your site visitors to upload files.  I'm going to assume it's maybe in one of the built-in text editor views - perhaps in a HTML module.  :)

To allow this, you should be able to create a folder of whatever type (e.g., standard) and then assign edit rights to the security role(s) that you wish to allow to have file upload permissions.

Depending on the nature of the site and the people who are allowed to edit things, you may even want to consider a standalone file upload module of some kind.  There are a handful of them in GitHub and the DNN Store.  For example, I know of a couple of modules I've used in the past that allows only specific files to be uploaded, and in the case of images it may even optimize them for the web.

Which DNN version are you using? There was a problem in DNN 9.11.0 with the UrlControl (fixed in 9.11.1) and in 9.11.1 with the UrlTrackingControl (fixed in 9.11.2). So maybe an upgrade to 9.11.2 could be helpful.

        Happy DNNing!

Here are the steps to upload images in the DNN (formerly DotNetNuke) editor:

Log in to your DNN website: Enter your username and password to log in to your DNN website.

Navigate to the page editor: Go to the page where you want to add the image and click the "Edit" button to open the page editor.

Add the image module: Click on the "Add Module" button and select "HTML/Text" from the list of module options. This will add a new module to the page.

Insert the image: Click on the "HTML" button in the module toolbar to open the HTML editor. Place the cursor where you want to insert the image and click on the "Insert Image" button.

Upload the image: In the image manager window that appears, click on the "Upload" button to select an image from your computer. Alternatively, you can choose an image that has already been uploaded to the server.

Edit image properties: Once the image is uploaded, you can edit its properties, such as alt text, width, height, and alignment.

Save changes: Click on the "OK" button to insert the image into the HTML editor. You can then save the changes to the page by clicking the "Save" button in the module toolbar.

That's it! Your image should now be visible on the page.

          Regards,
