Importance of .NetCore

    This is more of an executive point of view.

    Short term having DNN on .NetCore would be usefull, if only for answering those sales questions about do you truly use Open Source architecture.

    Medium/long term having .NetCore makes it truly portable and more valuable to ourselves as a strategic architecture. Its less of a hostage to fortune whoch protects all of our efforts.

    I would propose that without .NetCore, DNN will slowly be devalued as other code schemes and architectures that currently cant do with DNN does, will be able to.

    There is a similar discussion to be had over SQL.

      I recommend that you follow the blogs and other information that's available and that discusses the transition to .NET Core. Mitchell Sellers has a nice series of posts that describe the wheres and whens to DNN and .NET Core.

      These Forums are dedicated to the discussion of DNN Platform.
