Any harm to delete extra folder after installation

Hi Team,

just wanted to check if there is any harm to remove below folders, as there are extra code which is not liked by static security scan, i hope it’s not a problem to delete them.


1. Install
2. Providers\DataProviders

Please suggest if there is anything else which can be removed without any impact.

No guarantees, but I see no harm in deleting those folders. On the other hand, I don't think there should be any code in there, unless you're on an old version of DNN, in which case those files are probably not your biggest problem...

/install is used for installation of DNN and DNN upgrade - usually, all possible harmful code is disabled after install/upgrade.
/providers/dataproviders just contains SQL code, which gets executed during install and upgrade. There shouldn't be any code included, which can be executed by IIS directly.
