I made an error and backed up to my standard backup file. By the time I'd realised I needed it, it had been removed. Probably should change this.
Since the actual backup didn't run because of the problem with 2sexycontent I suspect it wasn't actually changed.
The error with the personabar is saying there is a file missing, which doesn't make sense.I've got access to the sql. So is there a reasonably straight forward way to remove 2sexycontent? As I said, I actually haven't started using it yet.
I think I can get a backup from my hosting provider. We'll see how this goes. Thanks for your help to date. Much appreciated.
I was able to restore the database.
I still have the same issue with the personabar.
In setting up a new fresh install, I noticed that the write permission on the website were not set, which is really odd.
Once I set these, the persona bar started working.
Glad you got it working.
I'm still having an issue upgrading. I've removed 2sexy content from all portals, and uninstalled it.
After copying upgrade files into my wwwroot folder, when I open a portal I get this error. This PublicKeyToken was one that was part of 2sexy as per web.config, but it's not there at all now.
John,
I think you should open a new thread with this issue, since it does not relate to this thread. Your error says the system cannot find a file called 'netstandard', which was not an issue for this thread's reported problem.
Your issue has been reported on github:
https://github.com/dnnsof...Platform/issues/2990
although the poster did not say if they finally got it working. You might ask him about that.
From your post, it looks like some of 2sxc may still be there, perhaps in the database. Just guessing. Anyway, this deserves its own thread, IMHO.
