While a lot of people were doing all of their holiday parties, shopping, and other activities, DNN itself had a little secret... It turned 20 years young! You read that correctly. DNN was released more than 20 years ago, on Christmas Eve of 2022. Since then, DNN has helped millions of developers, business owners, marketers, designers, and others build incredible websites and website applications of all sizes, in all industries.  

Happy DNN Summit day, everyone!  We hope you're having an awesome time at the DNN Summit conference today and tomorrow.  Our team is split among still working, but a handful are there with you.  This year, in celebration of our epic DNN CMS 20th anniversary and the conference itself, we wanted to something special for all of you.  So, we've spent a ton of time working on some open-source stuff, starting with this project...  

We are thrilled to announce DNN Connect 2023 will take place in the Swiss Alps from 25th to the 28th May 2023. This is our 12th conference. Our first European DNN event was held in 2009 in the Jura mountains with around 30 attendees. Since then we've grown and morphed from an informal get-together to a proper conference. But our conference is still mainly about and around the DNN Community, it’s members and beloved platform. We would love for you to join us!

We're very excited to announce that version 01.01.01 of the Upendo DNN Page Manager module has been released.  While there have certainly been several releases over the past handful of months, this release marks a significant milestone for me.  This is the first release where the current feature set represents the features I had in mind for the first release. Now, you get to learn what got released this time... 

DNN Summit 2023 is a 2-day online conference offering educational sessions centered around DNN Platform and the community. The 2sxc data editing UI was once a rigid and unforgiving way to edit your content and data. Over the last two years, Formulas and Prefill and related features have appeared. They've slowly become useful and now have matured to the point where magical (and sexy) things can be done. Jeremy will show some examples and highlight the key points that will get you started on making users love your content editing UIs!

A very common question in recent years relates to how people are building their various DNN extensions these days.  Most often, new extensions and development are using various techniques and frameworks to present features using a SPA approach.  Whether the chosen tools include Angular, Vue, or something else, it makes sense.  End-users are more engaged when the page doesn't fully reload.  However, if you're the developer building this - and especially if you're not a seasoned pro, your first obstacle will undoubtedly be whether or not you know your API endpoint path.  This post will hopefully help you figure that out.
