DNN 9: Allow non-admin roles to view and edit users

Started By  David O'Leary
We have a site where they have some folks they don't want to give full Admin rights to but they do want them to be able to view and edit users. I'm not seeing a way to do that with the core functionality. Anyone aware of a way to do that Haven't tried creating a persona bar extention before but that may be a way to go. It looks like I might be able to use DNN Sharp's User Management Add-on. Anyone done this before in DNN 9.x Currently running DNN 9.4.4.

How to disable site registration

Started By  tony bonn
In Security-->Member Accounts-->Registration Settings, I set User Registration to None under the assumption that this would disable site registration. However, someone has registered after having registrations disabled for several months. Obviously the endpoint for registration is still enabled and someone with Postman is submitting registrations (or knows the url). Is there a way to disable registrations Have I left out a step I am using dnn 9.8.1.

Editing Database - Page Management Issue

Started By  kgil
Hello! I previously created several redirect URLs to go from our old website, hosted on DNN Platform, to our new website (not hosted by DNN). I created the redirects manually. I am a SuperUser. Whenever I click the Page Management icon (see link below). I'm automatically redirected to our new website. I can't even get to the list of pages to update the redirect links. We are using version 8.0.4. https://drive.google.com/...tKF/viewusp=sharing Any guidance on how to fix this issue would be...

Started By  Tom Melkonian
Hi - I was wondering how I could restrict access to the Settings and Move tools for Modules, so that only Admins could access them. I would still want regular non-admin users to be able to access the Edit Content controls. How would I go about doing thhat Thanks Tom

Unable to edit redirect pages

Started By  kgil
Hello! We have an old website using DNN (not sure what version we have). I have created several redirects from the old pages to our new website. However, every time I try to go into Page Management to update information, it keeps taking me to our new website. I have no idea how to work around this. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

remove DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider.dll

Started By  sypa
I have installed the Telerik dependencies identifyer module. It has highlighted a few dependencies on Telerik and most have been removed, all apart from one: I still have this remaining -  DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider.dll I can see that radeditor is refernced in the webconfig, I suppose I can safely just coment that out but the  DotNetNuke.RadEditorProvider.dll file is inside the bin directory - I guess its not just as simple as deleting this file

Administrator gets logged out

Started By  Petri H
Hi! I have a new installation of DNN 9.10.0 and have an issue where users with the 'Administrators' role ges automatically logged out when they try to save their changes in the HTML module (CKE Editor). I noticed this only happens within childportals (www.mydomain.com/portal1) and not if site alias is set up as a domain (www.mydomain.com). Superuser/host are able to make edits to the HTML editors with no issue. Anyone else have seen this Any help would be appreciated. / Petri
