Extensions updates

Started By  cjsailer
Hello, I'm a bit confused by the Extensions screen where it shows all your installed extensions (with your current version) and also the upgrade versions available.  Two extensions as an example, IFrame and Links I'm on version 8.1.3 and 8.0.2 respectively, and versions 9.1.3 and 8.2.0 are listed as available upgrades.  However when I go to the GitHub repository DNN Community and look at both IFrame and Links master branch, the available version are 8.1.3 and 8.0.2, the versions that I'm current...

New Upgrade Process Hung

Started By  Faith Coder
I wanted to try out the shiney new upgrade process. I did it on a less-traveled site to not disrupt things too much. I got as far as the screenshot below. It's probably be sitting on this page for a good 10 - 15 minutes now :-/   The logs show these messages: 2026-06-04 09:46:48.173-07:00 [ERROR] DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.Exceptions - System.IO.IOException: The directory is not empty.    at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)    a...

Upgrading DNNSoftware (Dotnetnuke)

Started By  Mariette Knap (SU)
Upgrading DNN Software always starts the same way. You sit there, coffee in hand, trying to act like a responsible adult. You’ve read the release notes (mostly). You’ve triple-checked the backups. You tell yourself this is “just another upgrade.” But deep down, it feels exactly like being a child on Christmas Eve. The download finishes, and suddenly your heart beats a little faster. What’s inside this new version Better performance Fewer bugs That one annoying thing finally fixed after ...

DNN 10.3.0 Upgrade Issue – Menu Disappeared / Legacy Menu Control Not Rendering

Started By  Ahmad
I hope you are doing well. I am currently upgrading a website from DNN version 10.2.1 to 10.3.0, and I have encountered an issue where the main navigation menu has completely disappeared after the upgrade. In my skin (.ascx), I am using the following menu control: From my understanding, it seems that legacy menu controls like DNNStandardMenu may no longer be supported or require additional configuration in DNN 10.3.0. I would appreciate your guidance on the following: Is ...

Upgrading to 10.2.2

Started By  JMD
I sucessfully upgraded our DNN site to 10.2.1 from 10.1.0. I'm now trying to upgrade to 10.2.2 using the new method here:   Step 3 - Upload Upgrade Package Login as a SuperUser (Host) and navigate to: Settings => Servers => System Info => Upgrades. Click on 'Upload Package' and upload the previously downloaded upgrade zip file. The system will validate the upgrade package and warn about potential issues if detected. When I go to Settings => Servers => System Info => Upgrades there is...

500 Internal Server Error after upgrading from 9.13.10 to 10

Started By  Antonio D
I recently tried upgrading one of my company's sites from DNN 9.6.2 to 10.2.1 (but not directly). I first upgraded from 9.6.2 to 9.13.7 and then went through the steps to remove Telerik. Then, I upgraded to 9.13.9 and it looked like the site was still working normally. I then upgraded to 10.0.0, but when I exited the uprgade screen, I was met with this error in the browser: 500 Internal Server Error The requested Url does not return any valid content. Upgrading to 10.2.3

Started By  Jeff89453
Hello, I’m currently running DNN 10.2.2 and attempting to upgrade to 10.2.3. The upgrade is needed because we are experiencing the known issue where roles cannot be added and module permissions cannot be set. Based on the release notes, this appears to be addressed in 10.2.3: Fixed an issue with inability to set module permissions (6997) While following the documented post-10.2.0 upgrade steps, I ran into an issue during the directed upgrade process. According to the documentat...
