SMTP Timeout with Basic Authentication

Started By  amurraygbhu
I am hoping someone can assist me with an SMTP issue. I am looking at moving my website to a hosting site as it is currently hosted on site. I migrated my site to the hosting company to test it but I am having issues with the SMTP setup. I simply want to use it as an SMTP relay. On the hosting site in Plesk control panel I created an email account called noreplymydomain with a password. I then setup the SMTP settings using Basic Authentication and used the hosting provider's mail server a...

Password Reset controls

Started By  Martijn v.d. L.
Hi there, We are working with a DNN 9.9.1 installation and are currently writing our own custom Authentication Provider. It now completely works for users that want to login, but we're currently investigating how to implement a custom SendPassword & PasswordReset page. In default DNN, the controls in the 'admin/Security' folder are used. However we want to write our own controls.  Is there anybody that could inform us whether how to implement a custom SendPassword/PasswordReset page and re...

Two different DNN sites and one database

Started By  Yma
Hi, We need to have a public site separately while updating the content through another site with the same database. For the Public site, Users can browse the content of the site. (example.com) Users can not log in as a user and authentication has been blocked. Users cannot go to the login page or login to this site. It is for the public view only. The second site(admin.example.com) will use the same database and the admin will update the content. It has the authentication.  Please,...

Merging and Splitting Individual Portals to/from one database

Started By  RichardHowells
I have a few DNN sites that are very lightly used.  Currently they run in their own installations with their own databases. I'd like to consider consolidating them into one site with multiple portals.  Imagine the simplest case.  Install A with its own IIS Site and DB; and Install B with its own IIS Site and DB Superficially this seems simple (hah!) most tables in the database contain a portal ID, so presumably to merge Install B's database into Install A's database requires... Changing passwordFormat from Encrypted to Hashed / DNN.ActiveDirectory

Started By  Michael Tobisch
I have an installation of DNN that is running since November 2011 (DNN 6.1.0) and was upgraded frequently to 9.12.0 atm. The installation uses DNN.ActiveDirectory version 7.2.0 for Intranet authentication. Works fine. When trying to change the password format from 'Encrypted' (which was the 'secure' option at the time of the first install) to 'Hashed', the site stops working. I can't find anything in the logs, except that the server was restarted (which is normal when changing the web.config)...

Member Directory Module

Started By  ELC
It seems that for a user to view the member directory, the only permission that works is if he is an administrator.... I have a filter on the Directory that says only show memrbers of Group A. A user that logs in and is a member of group A see the message: 'No members were found that satisfy the search conditions.'   If I make him an Administrator, he sees all memerbers of group A correctly.   I dont understand...   Thank you

Logout Redirect

Started By  Andrew Enes
We are running our application using Active Directory Authentication behind a load balancer that holds the certificate. The application itself seems to be loading all the pages over https, but the logout link however attempts to reach a 'login.aspx' (that I cannot find) using http and fails. In thre redirect URL in DNN we have it set to back to the home page. Has anyone encountered something like this before when using DNN for an application behind a load balancer Any suggestions would be...
