Storing DNN Cache in Redis instead of default DNN file Started By justinv Hey all! I'm relatively new to DNN, and there are some performance issues with dynamically loaded information from .xlsx files. We think it will be beneficial to have DNN cache these items to Redis instead of the local file, and I've searched pretty extensively, but haven't found how to fit the pieces together. Installation Performance Started By srinath972 We have upgraded DNN version from 5.6.8 to 6.2.8 We have 20 modules which are installed during portal creation. A module used to take around 5 seconds to install in version 5.6.8, But the same modules now take around 40 seconds which is a lot. We started the upgrade from 4.8.3 initially and did not face any performance issues till this version. Deploying changes without Site Downtime Started By Rajesh Hi, Whenever we need to deploy any changes that require a new dll or an updated dll to be placed in the production environment, our site takes 20 minutes to start as all the dlls are being rebuilt etc. This creates a 20 minutes downtime for us and has become a problem to keep the server down for so long. I am sure there must be a better way to deploy that I am overlooking. Bug in ScriptManager? Started By Andreas Hi! It seems I stumbled upon a bug in ScriptManager or AJAX, depending on your view point. I just recently noticed that when you switch on our DNN site (v9) to German locale, the Script Manager attempts to load MicrosoftAjax.de.js instead of MicrosoftAjax.js. We have CDN enabled and Microsoft does not host such a file on their Ajax CDN web site. Is anyone else expiriencing this problem that has CDN for Ajax enabled Maybe it's just our upgraded site. Perfmance Tip - FWIW Started By tony bonn I am passing along a tip i practiced today which resulted in impressive performance gains on my website. I ended, at least temorarily, site robots rumaging through obsolete urls. the gains have been impressive thus far. As back ground, i have a website which i have operated off and on for over 10 years. certain robots, such as google's, cling to its urls like some people cling to elvis - they just can't let them go. Unexpected Errors Encountered! Started By WhatsHerName Hello I have just run a Telerik Identifier on my DNN 9.8.00. The Telerik Report stated I have no unexpected dependencies on Telerik. Composite Files won't let me navigate the admin pages Started By Marco Alvarado I can't manage to disable composite files feature in the DNN website, the layout looks all mess up and I can't navigate through the options. I can't add an email account to the SMTP option or anything else, the layout doesn't respond. Does anyone know how to manually disable composite files from web.config I already have a backup but I don't know where to start.
